Day 99

Taralynn just got all fancied up and left to go out with her friends. I took a picture of her cute boots before she left. And I laughed when I saw Mouse in the background :)

Day 98

I was playing around with Instagram app today on the way home from work. I took a few shots while we were in the car, and then once we got home, I went for another short walk down the street while the sun was setting and took a few more :) I took this one first in Instagram because I love their settings, and then I put the photo in PhotoStudio app and erased the colour from around the bus so it stood out more!

Day 97

I got this lovely necklace on etsy a few months ago, and got a matching (but different colour) one for my sister! I think it's super cute, but it doesn't go with most of the shirts I wear. Guess I need some new shirts ;)

Day 96

I got this in my fortune cookie a few weeks ago, and pinned it up on my cubicle wall at work :) It makes me happy and hopeful!

Day 95

After the gorgeous (and unexpected) weather last week it was super upsetting to look out the window this morning and see the snow-covered ground, with the flakes swirling around like crazy. Mouse was lucky he got to stay inside and sleep.

Day 94

I saw this cute little path beside Taralynn's cousin's house today and got out of the car in the rain/snow to take a few pictures. I surprise myself sometimes... because normally I would not have volunteered to stand out in that weather!

Day 93

Had a nice relaxing weekend! Today was spent listening to music, watching tv shows, and photo editing. Some of my tools are pictured here :)

Day 92

The Chicken Burger is a cute diner in Bedford that's been around since the 1940s and still has all the cute old stools, a jukebox, lights, and everything. Their chicken burgers are made with little chunks of loose chicken, not a patty, so they're quite yummy! And they've got lots of old photos of the building through the decades, and little old model cars on display :)

Day 91

The weather has been so lovely during the past few days and I've enjoyed reading outside on my breaks. I love the feeling of having the sun warm you up like its a blanket around you. It's just wonderful.

And a 15-minute break is certainly not enough time to enjoy it. But such is life right now...

Day 89

Today was lovely! Temperature was in the 20s and I sat outside to read on my last break at work. I sneakily took this photo of these women (with my back turned) because they were so happy, telling stories and laughing the whole time. And the sun was just shining down on us. So nice :)

Day 88

I decided to go for a (very) short walk at sunset tonight to try out the new lens. Everything looks better at sunset. I was even taking pictures of some straw-like grass beside the bus stop. I'm sure people were driving past with some strange looks on their faces. Oh well!

Day 87

For those of you who didn't know, the Halifax Metro Transit System workers went on strike on February 2nd and just went back to work on Friday. Today was my first day taking the bus since before the strike, so it was nice to see that bus come up the hill again :) And rides are free for the rest of March! (They'll be hiking the prices in April... but I guess we'll jump off that bridge when we come to it)

P.S. See the church sign on the right? It says "DID U KNOW GOD WANTS U TO WIN". A few days ago it said "DID U KNOW THE DEVIL WANTS U TO LOSE"...

Day 86

Mr. Mouse makes another appearance. This is him asleep, draping himself over Taralynn's leg. It looks like he had a good stretch and then just passed out. We have a weird cat.

Day 85

Happy Birthday to me!!!!

Taralynn took me out to breakfast at Cora's, and I got this awesome yogurt/granola/fruit concoction! It was delicious! Then we went to Henry's, where I returned my 85mm lens and got a Sigma 30mm instead! It was actually slightly less money than the 85mm, so not only did I get a new lens (that they unexpectedly had in-store!), but I also got $17 back! Bonus! Plus one of Taralynn's presents to me was an extra battery for my camera!

Day 84

More fun with my new iPhone photo apps! Is it illegal to take a photo of someone else's house...? lol

Day 83

My parents got me this magazine for my birthday and it's full of iPhone photography tips and app suggestions! It was awesome! I think I read the whole thing today and put post-it notes by all the apps the author mentioned. I downloaded a few tonight to play with. This is my first attempt!

Day 82

I had a lovely day off today - my last vacation day! I got home from my trip last night and I spent the today watching the show "Arrested Development". I had only ever seen a few minutes of it before, but my family keeps asking me if I've seen it (they love it). So for this birthday, my brother gave me all 3 seasons on DVD! My parents also gave me the show "Outsourced", which is about a call center... so I wanted to see how it turned out :)

P.S. I think this is my first 365 photo taken with my iPhone.

We drove to Ottawa to visit relatives on Saturday and I saw this house as we were driving around. Thought it was cute!

I woke up the next morning to find the snow falling outside and took a photo from the kitchen. This is the top deck and in the background you can see the forest on the left side, and the pond on the right. :)

I went to Guelph for a visit (my belated Christmas trip) and was tickled to see that my kitty-and-marble photo was on display in the living room! :D

Day 75

I started packing my bags tonight because I'm flying to Ontario tomorrow! I brought out my suitcase and then went back to put away the other things in the spare room that I'd moved to get it out... and when I came back Mouse and Bear Mountain were investigating my bag.

I also wanted to include this shot, even though it's not the quality I wanted. It would have been perfect if my flash had fired like I wanted it to. But it didn't, so it's blurry. Boo.

Bicyclette! He's got flat tires after sitting there since summer, so I'll have to pump those back up again if spring ever comes :P

Is something odd here...?

When I was younger I used to hold a hand mirror just under my nose so it reflected the ceiling, and then I'd walk around while looking down into the mirror. It would look and feel like I was walking on the ceiling! All the lights and fans would be on the "floor" and I'd pretend like I had to step over or around them. I was a bit of a goof.

But you guys should try it... it's fun :)

This is the 85mm lens I bought last weekend. We had a good week, but I've changed my mind and want to get a wide angle lens instead. So this is goodbye, little buddy. I hope you find a lovely new owner who will take you on great adventures :)
