I walked home today, and got out of my comfort zone by making myself stop for a photo even if someone might look at me funny. I actually sat down in the grass beside a stop sign to take photos of the flowers nearby and had to try so hard to not think about the people who might be staring :P

Then I walked past this hydrant when I was about 10 minutes from home and thought the contrast between the textured plant and the smooth hydrant (and the colours!) was really cool. I took a few photos and felt 2 or 3 little rain drops as I was getting back up again. I took a few steps down the sidewalk and suddenly the skies opened up and it was pouring! I hastily got my camera back into my bag and walked the rest of the way in the sun shower. It did feel good once I knew I didn't have to worry about my camera getting wet :)

I had an idea in mind when I did this little self-portrait shoot... but I didn't quite get what I wanted. Even though I did almost 30 takes! I wish I could have held this camera steadier, but it was hard when I was shaking my head :P

 I had my camera out while I walked to work today. I took this from across the street! Bit of tweaking in Lightroom, as I'm sure you can tell... but I think it looks cool!

Look at my beautiful new toy! I think it is absolutely gorgeous! It's cool that it has a 1984 Olympics lens cap! I got it from a seller on Etsy who had purchased it (along with the manuals and strap) from an estate sale and got it professionally cleaned up. I think it needs a new battery, but I hope to be able to play with it soon :)

He arrived! This cute little birdie is some "lens bling" I got, to help me with photo shoots with wee ones :) He also has a squeaker to help get their attention (might be useful for doggy sessions, too!).

We went for a walk in Shubie Park today. The chipmunks and squirrels were very friendly and they let me get really close to take photos! Look at this little guy!! :)
